As we seek to follow Christ, we sometimes travel difficult paths. Being a disciple is not always the easiest life, but it is always the best. The Bible has a lot to say about staying true for the long haul. Find some encouragement today by continuing to endure even in the toughest seasons of life.
Endurance is required to see God’s best in your life
'For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. '
Endurance is built through consistency in our troubles
'And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; '
Joy is still available in the trouble
'Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. '
Hope is generated while we endure
'Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. '
Your endurance doesn’t rest on your own strength. It is proportionate to the might God.
'strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; '
Endurance is only attainable through the knowledge of Jesus Christ
'fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. '
